Fashionably Staring at My Gaga Wall

It is fairly common knowledge that I am currently without address.  Well, a permanent one anyway.  My dear husband is off getting trained as an Officer for the military and I picked up and moved to Austin, Texas from Key West, Florida for the duration of his boot camp.  I am staying with my Father and two younger sisters in their townhouse that just so happens to overlook Lake Travis (secretly swooning inside...it is gorgeous here...my Mother, God rest her, really knew how to pick a place to hang your hat!).   My doting little sisters decided to make up the spare bedroom for me, decorations and all.  I love the bed area with the poster of Lady Gaga, and because it is the last thing I see at night and the first thing I see in the morning, it has really inspired quite a few outfit choices.  Now, I know what you might be thinking.  Lady Gaga is not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think 'Goth', but you have to admit that Mother Monster, whether you love or hate her, has a very distinctive personal style and point of view.  For that, I have nothing but respect for her.

I have been staring at my Gaga wall, thinking tres' fashionable thoughts...and this is the outfit I came up with.  The shoes are my Gaga reference.  They are made by Privileged and can be found at www.charlotterusse.com.  The black lace dress was my Mother's.  My Momma marched to the beat of her own drum and always inspired me to create my own tune.  This dress is now an heirloom, and hopefully, if I have a daughter, she will want to wear it one day too.

Photo cred to baby sister, Andi...I really should buy her a better camera.  She is actually pretty good.
